Like water for chocolate is a novel that was published in 1989 by Laura Esquivel. This book follows the life of a young girl named Tita who is the daughter of a strict mother and tries to rebel against the lifestyle they follow. She falls in love with Pedro but confronts many challenges that do not allow them to be together. This novel includes many supernatural activities and is full of intriguing stories.
While reading the book, we had book club notes that we had to complete after every chapter and that we would have to turn in every 3 chapters. What we had to do was write a small summery about every chapter and sometimes we would also include supernatural symbols that we noticed.
